Our meeting started a little late 12:35PM on my watch to be exact, coz we had to wait for some of the participants of the program. I guess this was part of the adjustment period, with new sets, and some trade off to balance the groupings. Hopefully these new groupings will start blending, and will soon jive with one another in the coming meetings. Last week was another busy week. Just after our regular luncheon meeting, we had our board meeting with PP Andy regarding medical missions being proposed by doctors from US. Then we proceeded with a committee meeting for our upcoming Membership Development Seminar. After which, we're off to Brgy. Sibuan Otong for a meeting with the RVC, that was 6PM already but still we proceeded. I'm very proud to announce to the club that I have received their last amortization for the livelihood assistance that our Mega PP Albert started during his term. That means they now own the store and everything in it! Cheers to RVC Sibuan Otong and to our Rotarians who made all these happen…you know who you are! The next morning, we attended the Provincial Disaster Coordinating Council seminar and workshop. This program aims to enhance the coordination of different LGUs and NGOs during disasters. In the afternoon, we had our meeting with the officers of RVC Bal-Lay, which is currently undergoing re-organization since we had some difficulties with their past administrations. We will have to start from scratch in re-organizing, training and re-orientation of the members and officers, and as part of our objectives to revive and strengthen our existing RVCs, this will certainly pose a big challenge. My thanks to our Community Director Jun, Livelihood chair Frederick, RVC chair Romeo, Dir Alan, PP Ferdinand, and PP Dan for accompanying me. Please note, these are the chairmen involved in this project, so for our other pro

jects, kindly expect my call if you happen to be the concerned chairman of that committee. Then in the evening, we went to the Induction of RC Agoo, where our very own PP Florent was again inducted as President. Thursday, was the meeting of all committee chairs for the upcoming Membership Development Seminar, although it was another grueling evening, I'm glad all committee chairs were present. Finally, after the formal launching of our feeding program last week, we started the Deworming program last Friday in preparation for the actual feeding program. So far so good, we were able to accomplish the two barangays, Sibuan Otong and Tanquigan with the help of our energetic partners - the Inner Wheel, headed by their Pres. Hailey. This proves to be a very fruitful partnership. We also had a meeting with our WCS/Matching Grant Chairman Billy. In the offing are community based disaster preparedness and response training which will be conducted in four calamity prone municipalities of La Union. With the help of International Aid, which will provide most of the funding, we can surely make a good impact on these communities if all goes well.
