Rotarians all over the world to the Rotary Foundation by being a Paul Harris Fellow, which is equivalent to US$1,000.00 donation (or can be paid by staggered US$100.00 as a sustaining member). This money eventually goes to the numerous community and humanitarian projects. I hope this clears the notion of Rotarians that your contribution to the Rotary Foundation will end up nowhere. So let me encourage everyone to be a Paul Harris Fellow or at least a sustaining member. Last Tuesday, we conducted our 5th Career Guidance Seminar at DMMMSU-MLUC, with our ever-supportive partner, the Inner Wheel headed by their Pres Hailey. Speakers were Dr. Robert Sibayan, IWPP Tessie Tio, IWPP Venus Bugaoan, IWPP Tita Salvador and VP Rex. Also present were PP Canor, Rtn Romeo Chan, and Dir Reggie. Our upcoming club activities include: Rota-Brain, schedule on the 2nd or 3rd week of November; Career Guidance at Christ the King College; and on November 13, at 8 am is the start of the training proper of our Community Based Disaster Management for the 4 disaster prone municipalities of La Union. We will start with Bangar at the island barangay of Mindoro, to be followed by Santo Tomas.

All Saints Day has become a day to visit cemeteries, to light candles and offer flowers to their graves. Last Tuesday, we had our very own IPP Jerome as guest speaker. He reported to us about his trip to An San, Korea; the signing of our Sisterhood agreement; and of course his short but very memorable experiences as their guest. For today let me warmly welcome our Guest of Honor and Speaker, the District Chair of Rotary Foundation and Editor in Chief of The Philippine Rotary Magazine, PDG Mar Un Ocampo III. He will give us more insights on Rotary Foundation. Our club has been a recipient of one of the district's biggest grants, the Medical Equipment Repair Training under 3H Grant, which is currently being implemented by our partner, International Aid. Aside from this, our club has also been a beneficiary of numerous other grants like our water projects, pig and cattle dispersals, leprosy and many more. This is a result of donations from people and other
