discover
their talents and develop their skills. They need the struggle to shape their
own lives and follow God’s design for them. To show them our love and our
concern, we can help them by giving them our guiding hand and sharing with
them our wisdom of the years. This is why Rotary has created the Interact and
Rotaract and other programs for the new generations. And this is what we mean
when we say we must not only work for but also with the youth. With our
helping hand, they develop their talents and skills as we prepare them for
their leadership roles in the future. We give them the opportunity to develop
their wings so that when their time comes they can fly to the sky and
contribute to building the beautiful world that we dream for. People need to be aware of Rotary’s
concerns for the youth and what Rotary is doing to address these concerns.
People need to be aware so that the, too, can act and participate in this
noble task of preparing the youth for the future. This is the reason
Rotarians worldwide celebrate ‘Rotaract Week’ on March and “Youth Month” in
September. |
