$10,000 grant project to the International Aid for a comprehensive disaster management and preparedness training in the community level. Looks like we will have it.

Community Director's Monthly Report
The Officers were inducted July 3, but works have started as early as June yet. Our club has toured the 24 School Districts of La Union in June, to reinforce to some, and create for others, linkages and to inform of projects that might benefit them. We have already distributed a total of 216 shovels, and 40 water wells. These are about 50%, and 133 of this year's target for shovels and wells, respectively, for community development.
Further in June, we have started the series of meetings with the RVC of Bal Lay in the prospect of reviving certain livelihood projects that have been quite neglected, like the pig breeding and cattle fattening. In the process we plan to reorganize the officers for more effective outcomes. To date, we have had two meetings, and forecasts are bright.
Provincial Nutrition Council collaboration discussions took off on the 27th of June. We have pledged to continue our feeding program in our adopted Bgy Sibuan Otong. Actual deworming was launched on July 13, covering as much kids from Sibuan Otong and Tanguigan. Feeding Program for the 31 malnourished (all degrees, with one in 3rd) have subsequently began, too. These have been in cooperation with IW. Other sponsored projects for the Nutrition Month included Ms. Nutrition, Poster Making, Quiz Bee, Slogan Contests, etc.
On July 1, series of club awareness have commenced with a radio interview over DZNL 783Mhz whereby Pres Richard detailed our four avenues of service, upcoming projects, etc. In the pipeline for Rotary consciousness are for the print and hopefully, television media.
