I can only guess three things why our home club attendance was only 50% last week; 1. Most members felt they needed a little R & R (Rest and Relaxation) after the previous weeks' busy activities. 2. Many of them have already piled up make ups or advance make ups. 3. There are more upcoming activities where they can make up. Nevertheless, we had an interesting and informative meeting, with our three daughter clubs' presidents as guests of honor and speakers, namely: Pres. Fe Caro of RC Metro San Fernando(LU), Pres. Ces Go of RC San Fernando City North and Pres Pablito Valdez of RC San Juan (LU). I would again like to thank them for sharing their time and thoughts about membership in Rotary. To the organizing groups, which was composed of the four groups in our club, please  prepare in advance the program participants for your upcoming meetings.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank those who participated in last weeks' acitivities. Last Tuesday, we had our first career guidance seminar at La Union Cultural Institute with IPP Jerome, Dir Reggie, Asst. Treas. Terry as resource speakers and of course, our ever supportive Inner Wheel headed by Pres. Hailey. IWPP Myla and IWPP Venus Bugaoan also shared their experience with regard to their career or profession. Also present to support us

were Rtn. Romeo, PP Canor, PP Tony, Asst. Sec. Ernie, Rtn Edward Dy, Editor Edward Gaerlan.
Last Thursday, we had our second Career Guidance seminar at Lorma High School with Asst. Sec. Ernie, Rtn. Joseph and the Inner Wheel, IWPP Brenda, IWPP Min, and IWPP Pilar as resource speakers. Also present were PP Ferdinand and Rtn. Romeo.
That Friday, we returned to Brgy Tanquigan and Sibuan Otong for a follow up on our feeding program. There, we distributed multi vitamins (courtesy of Doc Ed) good for the next 60 days and high calorie compact food (courtesy of VP Rex) to each of the malnourish children. We also gave additional high nutrition milk (courtesy of Doc Ed) for the severely malnourished. We also donated 24 armchairs for Sibuan Otong elementary school where we pooled together with the Inner Wheel. We started our Rota Tree project where we plan to make Mini Forests within a school. We initially planted 182 mahogany seedlings around the said school and we still have 1000 more seedlings for distribution to other schools.
Lastly, Saturday, we distributed the first batch of piglets, 14 to be exact to the first recipient barangay Sibuan Otong. I guess our long lost "Porkies for Goodwill' project in the early

Our congratulations to PP ReyBo whose son Rob won first prize in the Nido Nestle National Painting Contest. He must have taken after his mom, Jasmine. In contrast our bowling team bowed to highly touted Team Brotherhood, 1-4 at the YMCA Inter-Civic Bowling Tournament. The final score, though, doesn't show the real picture as Team RCSFU slugged it out falling short by the smallest of margin. The shortage of

manpower was a big factor as most players weren't available that night. I'm sure our team will bounce back big time in the coming weeks.
We request all the members to be present for the Governor's Visit next week. Please show your support to Pres. Richard and our Directors as we host District Governor Mark and wife Sol. I'm sure our report will make you proud to be a member of our club.
