On Increasing Membership

Rotary Information - Where to find it
BY  PDG CESARIO MENDOZA

RI President Richard D. King reported that the Rotary International Board of Directors has reaffirmed the need to strengthen Rotary membership by setting a goal of 1.5 million members by year 2005, Rotary's centennial. To do this, he asks every Rotarian to: Firstly, proudly display his membership to Rotary by wearing his label pin; (Do we do this in our Club?). Secondly, discuss the many benefits of Rotary Membership with business and professional associates. Lastly, invite an outstanding leader in business, profession or community to become a Rotarian.
On the other hand, every Club should: Induct at least one new member every month with an annual net membership gain of at least five members for every club. Secondly, develop and implement a membership development strategy that is appropriate to the community; and thirdly share information on members who relo

cate with clubs in their new communities.

not mean that we should know all the answers, but it does mean that we should know where to find it.
I would like to give the important publications available at the Central and Branch Offices of the Secretariat of R.I.

  1. The Rotary Basic Library in seven volumes.
  2. Manual of Procedure.
  3. World News.
  1. Philippine Rotary Magazine.
  2. Leaflets as described in the catalogues of RI
We can order them thru the club thru card, or for free. It has been said that the best Rotarian is an informed Rotarian.

During the recently concluded Membership Development and Retention Seminar hosted by our club on August 18

Congratulations to the Membership Growth and Retention Seminar organizers and supporters for its great success.
