     Once again, the rainy season is here, and with it usually comes the water borne diseases like Acute Gastroenteritis and Dengue fever. The following are the
World Health Organization Diagnostic Criteria for Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever
1.CLINICAL
     a. Fever lasting 2 to 7 days regardless of character.
     b. Hemorrhagic manifestations
          i. At least a positive tourniquet test except
                in the presence of shock
         ii. Mucocutaneous bleeding
        iii. Gastrointestinal bleeding (hematemesis
                 and melena)
         iv. Less frequently, other sites maybe in-
                  volved such as the lungs
