Frank has been a Rotarian for 7
years and is a Past District Governor’s Assistant, Past President, Secretary
and Vocational Service Director of his Club. He is currently Treasurer. Frank qualified as an Electrical
Engineer and worked in the electricity industry in Victoria for 30 years. His
particular interests during this period were management of major engineering
projects, and also the conduct of research and trials of alternative
technologies for production of electrical energy from alternative and
sustainable sources. For the last 7 years he has lived in
a small country town and owns and manages a timber and hardware retail
business with 2 stores in separate towns. He is Treasurer of the local
Chamber of Commerce. Frank has been married to Jocelyn
for 34 years.They have two married children Heather (31) and Richard (29),
and two grand-daughters Taylah andEmily. Frank engages enthusiastically in local Rotary projects
and other community activities. He enjoys spending time with friends,
travelling when time allows, and local cheese and wine. |

Bernadette, aged 34, is married to
Michael and they have two children Jackson (4) and Mackenzie (18 months).
Home is Horsham, a country town of around 13000 people, which is the hub of
the wheat and sheep farming region. Horsham is just over 3 hours travel west
of Melbourne. University qualifications include
Bachelor of Arts with a major in Psychology, Graduate Diploma in Human
Resources and Industrial Relations, and a Certificate in Workplace Training
and Assessing. Bernadette currently co-ordinates a
program “Learning Towns” which promotes, encourages and celebrates the value
of learning in Horsham. This involves liaising with all sectors of
government, business, community and educational institutions. She has a high
interest in community development, local government and adult education. Bernadette’s other interests include spending time with
her family, holding barbecues at home for family and friends, gardening, and
good food and wine. |
Polly, aged 26 years, moved to
Warrnambool a year ago after living overseas in the USA and England for 2
years. She graduated with a Bachelor of Aquatic Science (Honours) degree from
Deakin University. As the Community Education
Co-ordinator for the Glenelg Hopkins Catchment Management Authority, she is
involved in raising the awareness of water management and pollution issues
amongst farmers, urban residents and environmental community groups. She is also
responsible for developing and implementing environmental strategies and
organising educational and interactive activities. Polly is an avid traveller, enjoying diverse cultures,
and experiencing and understanding the country’s people, environment and
history. She has visited South East Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the
USA. Her other interests include golf, snow skiing and reading. |
