VOCATIONAL SERVICE MONTH
The Board has established "Vocational Service Month" to be observed annually in October as a special month devoted to vocational service, to emphasize the involvement of each Rotarian, and not just clubs, in the everyday practice of the ideals of Vocational Service. The dimensions of Vocational Service are limited only by the imagination and ingenuity of clubs and Rotarians. Because Rotarians are classified in their clubs on the basis of their vocations, vocational Service is an essential element in the execution of all Rotary programs; its effect is felt throughout the other avenues of service.

We are reprinting a letter from RI District 3790 DG Benigno Julian S. "Bennie" Uy, District Governor, RY 2000-2001
Dear Fellow Rotarians: Greetings! It is with a sad note that I have to inform you of the closure of the South East Asia Service Center. The RI Board of Directors had a thorough and exhaustive review about this matter and I believe it is for the best interest of RI and all Rotarians for the Board of Directors of RI in deciding the closing the service center in Makati. I am looking forward to a more Proactive system that we can apply help in the transition for the next Rotary Years to come.
Our new Service center will be: Southwest Pacific Service Center (SPSC) Rotary International Mcnamara Center, Level 2 100 George St., Parramatta, N.S.W., Australia 2150
