Because it is already past time to begin and neither the President nor the Vice-President is around, Dir. JERRY was prevailed upon to call the meeting to order, which he reluctantly did, and after a while the President arrived and because he was not informed of what transpired, he again called the meeting to order, and order and chaos followed until it was adjourned, 15 minutes after the official time. (Chaos especially on the guessing game on the decoding of the meaning of the acronyms). Editor ALLAN did a gargantuan task of serving as the Day Chairman and substituting for Rtn. NINOY as fine master, and for PP BEN, giving the response. Pres. JEROME, probably a few pounds lighter but in good shape, after a few days of hospitalization, presented his President's Report, thanking especially those who carried the burden of leadership while he was away. PP ARSING eloquently combined facts and fancy in introducing the Guest of Honor and Speaker, Director CELIA F. MERO of FIDA, Regions I, II and CAR. The Speaker dwelt extemporaneously on FIDA's pet project of pitching for silkworm culture, which she believes could be an alternate to tobacco raising, which is a health hazard. After the "Roteng" presided over by Dir. REX in which nobody wins, the Plaque of Appreciation was presented to the Guest by Secretary DIEGO and President JEROME. Then the latter adjourned the meeting.
