Rotary clubs are not authorized to cancel regular weekly meetings on the basis of seasonal and holiday circumstances or customs except in an emergency, or for good cause, the board of directors of the club may change the regular meeting of any week to any day during the period commencing with the day following the preceding regular meeting and extending to the day preceding the next regular meeting of the club or to a different hour of the regular day , or to a different place, or cancel the regular meeting of any week when it falls on a legal holiday, or because of the death of the club president or an epidemic or a disaster affecting the entire community.

Friendship. In an increasingly complex world, Rotary provides one of the most basic human needs, the need for friends and fellowship. It is one of the main reasons Rotary was started way back in 1905.
Business Development. This was the other important reason for Rotary beginning. Everyone needs to work together and Rotary consists of a cross section of every community. Its members come from all walks of life. Rotarians help one another and collectively help others.
Fun. Yes. Rotary is fun. A lot of fun. The club's projects are fun. Social activities are fun. And so is the service it gives to the community.
Personal Growth and Development. Membership in Rotary continues one's growth and education in human relations and personal development.
Leadership Development. Rotary is an organization of leaders and successful people. Serving in Rotary positions is like a college education in Leadership learning how to motivate, influence and lead leaders.
Citizenship in the Community. Membership in a Rotary club makes one a better community citizen. The average Rotary club consists of the most active citizens of any community.

Continuing Education. Each week at Rotary there is a program designed to keep one informed as to what is going on in the community, nation and world. Different speakers, different topics.
