PREXY’S NOOK

PRES. JEROME GAERLAN

This is my last article as President of our Club. I'm already waxing nostalgic especially after that "tribute" given to me by the Club Directors. Thanks a million Richard, Rex, Jerry, Jun , Tante and Albert, not just for the "tribute" but for all the things that you have done to make this Rotary Year a success. Thanks also to Secretary Diego and Treasurer Ernie Galera, as well as to Manong Frank who handled a lot of tasks during my term. Thanks to all the PDG Ces, ADG Rey  and all the other Past Presidents who are truly the "Heart and Pillars" of our Club, as incoming Editor-in-Chief Edward Gaerlan would put it. Thanks to all the Committee Chairmen and Co-chairmen, who voluntarily did their jobs and complete the many projects we had, making us  " Numero Uno" in the District.  Thanks to all those who accompanied me to the various Club Inductions, Anniversaries and District Affairs. Thank you, thank you, thanks you.

I'm sorry I can't make it today since  I've decided to attend an important Rotary function, the International Convention. While I'm there, I'll try to promote our Club and perhaps even talk to potential Matching Grant or WCS donors to help us  fund worthy projects  for our locality. I'm sure the very capable VP Tante Licudine or in case, he has to attend an Ophthalmology Conference, the equally competent Club Service Director, Jerry Parlan, will take care of things during today's meeting. Important agenda will be taken up having to do with IP Richard's Induction and term. I ask the Club membership to support Richard and grant him what is needed to make his term a success.

Sorry, Richard if I can't accompany you to the various Club Inductions for the later part of June. I'll try to make up, God willing, when I return in July, in time for your Induction.
