Welcome to our Guest of Honor and Speaker, our very own Vice-Governor Aureo Nisce. Scion of the prominent Nisce Family, which has already made a name for itself in Business and Civic Work, Aureo now extends the family's prestige into the realm of Public Service, being chosen just recently as one of the Top Vice-Governors of the country. If Congress shall pass the Budget, which our legislators would almost certainly do, we shall soon be having elections again, although definitely there won't be Snap Presidential Elections. We hope our Guest Speaker shall run again so that we will have the honor of voting him once more into office for a job well done.
For today's meeting Group 2 shall be in charge. They are leading the pack in our Club's Group Competition and so a little 'congratulations' are in order. However, they should not be afflicted with 'hubris'. They may have the 'numbers' now , but as national events have shown, fortunes can change overnight.
Thanks to those who contributed money for our adopted schools, the North Central and Special Education Schools, returning the envelopes which I distributed last week. The sums raised shall be for the purchase of some teaching aides to be used by the teachers and students.
Bon Voyage to Allan Alvarez! However, Allan says he won't resign from our Club but shall continue to do make-ups in the United States. Neither will he resign us our Club's Editor-in-Chief, saying he will continue to do his duties, through the magic of E-mail. Well, Allan if you wish to continue, nobody in our Club will object. If Erap did not resign, why should you ? Anyway, unlike our 'Ex-Prez', we would all be happy to see you back soon.
Our Club has a lot of pending projects and so after today's meeting, I am asking the Board and other Officers, to please remain for half an hour to do the job that we were chosen to do. Coffee's on me !
