TUESDAY THAT WAS
Rtn. REGGIE CHAN

Last December 19, 2000, from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, we had our Club Christmas Party held at the La Union Room of Oasis Country Resort. On that special occasion, I would describe our meal as SIMPLE yet EXPENSIVE but SIGNIFICANT. Simple because we ate Arroz Caldo. Expensive because it was worth P200. Significant because the price was intentionally increased so that we can raise funds to buy Christmas presents for the SPED pupils of the North Central School. If you ask me, that was the best lugaw I've ever had.
We then proceeded with the first game called "Butthead Contest."  A quiz game containing questions about politics and Rotary. It required participation from all group members. To answer the questions, a group representative needs to pop a  balloon. First to pop may answer the question. A correct answer was equivalent to 1 point. Group 2, the biggest group that day, won the contest. Group 2 then gave their special number headed by PP Cannor. A medley of favorite Christmas carols. Thanks for the candies guys! After that we went to the next game called "Generation Gap Contest." This time it was juniors vs. seniors. The game was patterned from the famous game show Family Feud. The seniors won and was treated to a free dessert. Following the game, Group 4 gave their special number. They sang funny songs and shared jokes. Group 1, who did not prepare a number that day amazingly came up with an impromptu short skit on the Impeachment trial. The impersonations and unpracticed lines were hilarious.
Well, I would say that our party was well attended and everyone had a wonderful time.
