TUESDAY THAT WAS
Rtn. DAVE PARKMAN

GUEST SPEAKER
DIRECTOR AMADEO Y. YABES

It was the official visit of the District Governor.  It was Ladies' Day. And, the meeting room of RCSFU was full to the brim with Rotarians and guests.  You could tell it was a very special occasion because all the Rotarians were wearing their Rotary uniforms and of course there was the presence of our lovely Anns,

Our Club Secretary, DIEGO was called upon to be the Day Chairman and Master of Ceremonies for the special occasion. The meeting got "kicked  off" right at 12:30.  Even though it was pouring down rain outside, it was cool and dry in the on the inside as Pres. JEROME called the meeting to order.  Dir/ JUN prayed a very "saintly" prayer and then recited the 4-Way Test from memory. The Pambansang Awit was led by VP TANTE.

During the luncheon period, one of our special guest, Rtn. DIETER Howald from RC Lions Gate in Vancouver, Canada, presented RCSFU with a club banner. He then spoke for a few minutes concerning Rotary Foundations sponsorship of a medical equipment repair training program to be hosted by RCSFU and Lorma College.

Dir/PE RICHARD officially welcomed our guests and two birthday celebrants nanely: ADG REY and Rotary Ann SUSAN Prieto.  Thanks for the two scoops of ice cream.  We needed that… Sec, DIEGO gave a short Secretaries Report followed by one of Dir. JERRY's outstanding Fining Sessions. This time the questions dealt with what month emphasized special things in the world of Rotary.

After a short President's Time, the President himself, Pres. JEROME introduced our Guest of  Honor  and Speaker, none other than our very own District Governor for RI District 3790, Benigno Julian "BENNIE" UY.  One of the first things that DG BENNIE was to award a Pal Harris Fellow pin to Rtn. JUN as the newest Paul Harris Fellow of RCSFU.  DG BENNIE's speech was short, but inspirational as he encouraged our Club to go  forward in membership development and in the recruitment of Paul Harris Fellows. Thank you DG BENNIE for braving typhoon  Bilis and for taking time out of your busy schedule to be with us today. You can be rest  assured that RCSFU is110 behind you.

ADG REY gave an appropriate response and the meeting was adjourned at 2:00 P.M.  All the Rotarians and guests were full of food and fellowship and that went back out into the rain.
