It seemed as if the day's meeting would never get started.  Finally, Day Chairman and Master of Ceremonies, Rtn. FREDERICK asked our President to call the meeting to order at 12:40.  You see, the problem was that our Guest Speaker had not yet arrived.  Nevertheless, the meeting started and the Speaker arrived a short time later. It seems that he got stuck in traffic.  After all, he did drive l the way from Pampanga just to be our Guest Speaker.  I am speaking of none other than PDG BONG JOVEN.

Rtn. HARVEY prayed an excellent prayer asking God to make us good Christians.  Rtn. HARVEY, what about the Muslims?  The "always ready" Rtn. REGGIE led us in the Pambansang Awit. PP FERDINAND had an easy job with the Welcome and Greetings.  None of the celebrants were present, so that means no ice cream…

The "Most Senior" as some called him, PP ANDY led us in one of his innovative fining session.  It reminded me of noon time game show.  It was all very informative because the questions dealt with Rotary Information.  Even though PDG BONG commented that the questions must have come out of an "old" Manual  of Procedure. Oh well, PP ANDY is the "Most Senior".  Pres. JEROME's time was a little long. That is his prerogative. After all, he is the President.  I believe  that he is trying to shed the "nervous President  title and be a little more calm, cool and relaxed.   

I must admit that PP KIT is one of the best Introducers in the Club. He resisted the temptation to read from the very long bio data of our Guest of Honor and Speaker who was none other than PDG Emiliano "Bong" D. Joven.  PDG BONG  is the District Chairman on Membership on Membership Development.  Since August is Membership Development Month in the world of Rotary, you can guess what PDG BONG's topic of discussion was about.  PDG BONG presented to us plans and methods on the International, District and Club levels on how to enhance the membership development activities of our Club.  Thank you PDG BONG for coming such a long way to be with us in our meeting.
