TUESDAY THAT WAS
Rtn. DAVE PARKMAN

The meeting room was full of Rotarians enjoying good fellowship with one another. Our Guest Speaker was seated at the Presidential Table and Pres. JEROME called the meeting to order at 12:35.  The Day Chairman and Master of Ceremonies for the day's meeting, which was Group 3 responsibility was Sec. DIEGO (not Joe) LEDDA Treas. ERNIE prayed a very nice, almost poetic prayer and PP CHITO led us in the Pambansang Awit.
After a short luncheon period, SAA ARNEL gave us a special number, or I should say question to answer about our incumbent President. The question was, "Describe Pres. JEROME ."  PP IVES won the prize.  Rtn. RUEL, did a good job with the welcome and greetings, except when he mistook Rtn. DIEGO for Rtn. JOE.  We had five birthday celebrants and four of them were present in the meeting.  Thanks guys for the two scoops of ice cream, namely, PPs ALDY, VIR, MARC and IVES.

Everyone was surprised to see PP CRES lead in the Friendship Session. I think he said it was the first time for him to lead in the Fining Session in his 34-years as a Rotarian. That has to be some kind of record.  PP CRES led us in a :Name the Rotary Ann Contest."  MC DIEGO then introduced the "nervous President", as he put it.  Pres. JEROME admitted to still be a little nervous at the helm of the Club. That is to be expected. At least he accepted the challenge to lead our Club, which is more than some Rotarians have done.  YOURS TRULY included.

Rtn. EDWARD did the honors of introducing our Guest of Honor and Speaker, who is a fellow physician.  It was noted that Dr. Ralph A. Asuncion had the alphabet following his name. Dr. Asuncion is truly a highly qualified physician and expert in his field of specialty, which is EENT.  Dr. Asuncion did not speak to us about the field of medicine. Instead, he spoke to us about the history of Free and Accepted Masons. It was a well-prepared speech with many questions that followed during the open forum period. I believe that many Rotarians began to get a clearer understanding of the relationship of Free Masonry and the Catholic Church. Thank you, Dr. Asuncion for taking time out of your busy schedule to enlighten our Club on the subject of Free  Masonry.

After a short response by YOURS TULY, the meeting was adjourned at 2:00 P.M.
