Our meeting last week started at exactly 12:30 p.m. Master of Ceremonies was PP Rey Bonifacio. Rtn. Tim Warden lead the Prayer and 4 Way Test and IPP Albert Dy lead the Pambansang Awit.
While enjoying lunch and fellowship, Day Chairman PP Ben Ang shared a Text Joke as introduction to his warm Welcome and Greetings. Having announced Rtn. Ruel Tana and Rtn. Alan Sy as birthday celebrants, we got a Mcflurry and coffee treat from these two wonderful guys.
SMART guy Rtn. Edwin Fernandez was then tasked to conduct the Friendship Session which turned out to be very interesting and informative. His gave quite easy questions about cellphones and ended up answering difficult ones thrown back to him by Rtns. Of course being the top guy at SMART he was able to answer them and was not given a fine. (parang baliktad ano?)
President Jerome in his time then gave his announcements, appreciation and greetings. Jokingly, he said that he's happy to see that everyone got GSM that day. "Galing Sa McDo" (bida nanaman si Alan.) He also called prospective member Bill Teninty to give details on the upcoming project Medical Equipment Repair Program scheduled on April 2, 2001 co-sponsored by RCSFU.
Rtn. Edwin went back to introduce our guest of honor and speaker Mr. Charlie A. del Rosario, Legal Officer of National Telecommunications Commission R-1. Briefly and concise, our speaker shared what services the NTC gives, and its contribution to the society. A lengthy open forum followed which made him become more aware of certain "shortcomings" done by business operators who are under NTC's jurisdiction. With this, we hope that he will be instrumental in initiating action in addressing these issues. Nevertheless, we appreciate his patience in discussing this matter with us.
Response was given by PP Aldy Dy. The meeting was adjourned.
