st of our members are businessmen and most are also notable in their field of endeavor. It is in this respect that we are very fortunate to have Congressman Ralph Recto as our Guest of Honor and Speaker for today. Incidentally, Congressman Recto is the Chairman of the Committee on Trade and Industry. He is on his official visit in the province of La Union.
As we extend our warm welcome to our Guest of Honor & Speaker, we hope to hear him speak on the issues concerning our trade and industry and what measures they are going to pass to the House to help improve our ailing economy. Likewise, we look forward to a dialogue with Congressman Recto after his speech for us to impart or propose certain matters that we hope will be of consideration for those in the committee on trade and industry which we believe could be of help to the majority.
On the 19th to 21st of this month, will be the start of the District function of the incoming administration of Incoming District Governor Benny Uy. I deeply encourage the incoming Board and Officers and those who are interested to join our Incoming President Jerome Gaerlan to this important activity. The district function will give us better insights on how to become good leaders and motivators,

which will eventually make each one of us in support for the welfare & healthy growth of our club to another level.
Incidentally, we have accomplished two projects last week: the Emergency Preparedness 2000 and Operation Tuli at Sibuan-otong. Words of thanks goes to our Community Director Rex and Vocational Director Jerome for spearheading the said projects and to all the members who joined us together with the volunteers of PNRC and Volunteer Doctors of LORMA and ITRMC whose dedicated effort enabled us to pursue this project. Thank you also to all whose contribution we might have failed to acknowledge.
Welcome back to our two prominent doctors: Dr. Edward Gaerlan and Dr. Raymond Espinosa who both came from the U.S. During their absence, they have attended a seminar which will surely give them an advancement on their field of specialization so do not be surprise if sooner or later they will charge you a higher professional fee which I'm sure is just fair enough.
