y Chairman and Master of Ceremonies Rtn. JUN asked Pres  ALBERT to ring the bell to start the regular weekly meeting of RCSFU at precisely 12:30.  Rtn. REGGIE was asked to lead us in our Prayer and 4-Way Test.  It was 'new" Rtn. NINOY who was called upon to lead the Rotarians in the Pambansang Awit

. Rtn. TERRY was tasked with the job to officially welcome our visitors and greet our celebrants.  The day's lone birthday celebrant was Rtn. PAQUING with his Ann YOLY.  You could say that it was a "double barrel" celebration.  Thanks for the ice cream.  Rtn. PAQUING.  We needed that…

I really enjoyed "new" Rtn. BONG's Classification Talk.  It was short, precise, and to the point.  without a lot of advertisement for his own company.  Oh,  by the way, Rtn. BONG's talk was on thrift banking.  Rtn. BONG is the Manager of LBC Bank here in San Fernando City.

PP TONY gave a short Secretary's Report as he recognized the outstanding achievement of RCSFU at the Year-End Review.  RCSFU received thirteen (13) awards in all, including MOST OUTSTANDING  ROTARY CLUB OF RY 1999-2000 among many others.  As Pres. ALBERT stated during his President's Time, "This achievements could not have been reached without the hard work of every member of the Club."  I say that special CONGRATULATIONS should go to the leadership of our Club.  Without the very hard work of the Directors and Officers, we could not have won these awards.  When we all work together, then anything is possible.

Called back by popular demand to lead us in another round of the Rotary Game, Rtn. ALLAN A. was the day's Fine Master.  And, as in previous rounds of the Rotary Game, everyone had a good time.

At first Rtn. DIEGO seemed a little nervous introducing our Guest of Honor and Speaker, but I think he did a good job.  Rtn. DIEGO is always willing to tackle in assignment given to him.  Our Guest Speaker was none other than our District Secretary for RI District 3790, PP Carlos "Caloy" F. Mendoza from the Rotary Club of Baguio. PP CALOY started out by quoting several Bible Verses on the process of aging.  Then he went on to talk to us about the benefits of Alkaline Water.   He convinced me of the benefits.  Now, if I can just find a place in San Fernando to buy some… At any rate, it was a very informative talk that was enjoyed by all.  Thank you PP CALOY for being with us today.

There was a lively open forum that followed, spearheaded by PP ARSING.  The meeting was adjourned at 2:05 P.M.

"AWARDS APLENTY!  AMEN *

e Bible tells us of "sowing" and "reaping."  Paul said, "Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will reap."  (Galatians 6:7).  He also said, "…he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully."  (II Corinthians 9:6)  Indeed, this is the law of life.

And that is what our Club did.  It sowed bountifully in its numerous projects, through the superb and goal-driven leadership of Pres. ALBERT, and at the Year-End Review held on June 10, 2000 at Skyrise Hotel, Baguio City, it yielded super-abundant dividends!   In terms of nine (9) "Mosts" and other Awards superlatively described.  (Refer to last week's issue of The Gold leaf bylined, DY WEEKLY DIARY).

Let us hope that our service is not just a compensation for our shortcomings in other areas in our life, but a genuine expression of our true nature as persons created in the image of God, made for others

We honestly believe that we have acted "With Consistency and Credibility."  It is for the incoming leadership to determine that part on "Continuity."
