A warm welcome to a member of our Grand Mother Club, District Secretary and PP Carlos "Caloy" F. Mendoza, the last Guest Speaker for this Rotary Year 1999-2000. He is here today not to talk about the world of Rotary but as a Geophysicist who will talk on the effects of water to our body.
Last Saturday, June 10, we attended the Year-End Review at Skyrise Hotel, Baguio City. I am proud to inform you that our Club garnered the following awards:
Significant Achievement Award (the only club in District 3790 recognized by RI for its worthy community works). Membership Development & extension Award (the highest retention rate in District 3790 recognized by RI). Most Outstanding Rotary Club of RY 1999-2000. Most Outstanding Club in Area 1. No. 1 Club in District in Annual Programs Fund Giving. Most Outstanding Club under the Avenue of Club Service. Most Outstanding Club under the Avenue of Community Service. Most Outstanding Club under the Avenue of Vocational Service. Most Outstanding Club under the Avenue of International Service. Most Outstanding Club under the Avenue of Youth Service. Most Outstanding Rotary Club President of RY 1999-2000. Presidential Citation (recognition by our RI Pres.). Most Outstanding Rotarian 2000.
Left alone I could not have accomplished anything, but with your support and cooperation at every turn and with your answering call whenever we beckoned in our own little ways, we were able to attain the ideals of Rotary and held the banner of our Club proudly high amongst those of the other clubs in the District.
In this regard, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and everyone especially to the Board of Directors for your continuous support. The awards we receive are proof of your dedication and commitment as Rotarians, enabling us to elevate our club to a greater heights.
However, it would be our Best Honor if the community we have patiently nurtured and molded will emerge the community we hope to be, that is, self -sustaining and self-reliant.
