e Day Chairman and Master of Ceremonies for the day's meeting was PP KIT. At precisely 12:30 he asked Pres. ALBERT to call the meeting to order. Rtn. REGGIE led us in our opening prayer and 4-Way Test followed by the Pambansang Awit led by Rtn. DIEGO. Both of these "young Rotarians" are doing an excellent job in their different assignments. After a short luncheon period at which Rotarians always enjoy both food and talking, PP CANOR "filled in" as the official welcomer and greeter. The day's celebrants who were present were birthday guys, PP PAQUITO and PP CANOR. The wedding celebrants were PDG CES and ADDG/PP VIR. Thanks for the ice cream. We needed that. It was good to see PP JIM back from his extended vacation in the U.S. I think it got too cold for him in Missouri so he decided to come "home" for a while.
Two new members were inducted into RCSFU. These are Mr. Toribio 'TERRY' Bugarin, whose sponsor is PP CRES and Mr. Ruel "RUEL' Tana, whose sponsor is PP KIT. PP DAN "charged" our new members and none other than PDG BONG Joven inducted them into the world of Rotary and into RCSFU in particular. Welcome aboard Rtn. TERRY and Rtn. RUEL. I am sure that you will be "blessed" by joining Rotary and that you will also be a 'blessing" as you reach out to others in service. PP MARC was the day's Fine Master. His questions dealt with finding the definition of "love". I don't think anyone came up with the true meaning of "love". The Rotarians had fund in trying to answer the questions and money was added to the treasury of the Club. During his President's Time, Pres. ALBERT gave us a brief report of the recently concluded Mid-Year Review of RY 1999-2000. Later it was officially announced by PDG BONG that RCSFU is the No.1 Club in the District. Congratulations to all of us! and in particular the Club President and Club Directors for a job welll done. The year is not yet over. There is still much to do. Let us keep up the good work.
ADDG/PP VIR had the privilege of introducing our Guest of Honor and Speaker, PDG Emiliano 'BONG' Joven, who is currently serving as Chairman of the District Nominating Council. PDG BONG's speech ended at 2:00 P.M. but the meeting was extended to 2:30 P.M. to accommodate an open forum. PDG CES gave the response and we were adjourned a little past 2:30 P. M.
