WORLD COMMUNITY SERVICE
Last September 1999, we received an additional WCS fund under WCS # 03284 in the amount of P 19,000.00 for our Water Projects. Up to date, the total funds available for Water project is P 264,644.32. Implementation has not been started due to high water level during rainy season. We are aiming to start implementation on February 2000.  We also have a Matching Grant in the amount of $17,000.00 still pending with Rotary International. The said amount will also be used for Water projects.

ROTARY FOUNDATION
Hosted the District 3790 Rotary Foundation Seminar on November 20, 1999.  Represented by 56 Rotary Clubs(75% of the clubs in the district) represented by 291 delegates. Main Speaker was PDG J.CHEAH KAM LOONG of RI District 3310 Malaysia, PDG LINA AURELIO of RI District 3800 graced the one-day affair.  As of December 15,1999, our Club has contributed to Rotary Foundation $3,200.00 of which $ 2,000 was raised through fund raising among the members of the club and the $700.00 was contributed by PP Ives Nisce to complete his Paul Harris sustaining member. The remaining balance thru contributions of sustaining members.  As of this time, our club have produced 3 Paul Harris Fellows: PP IVES NISCE, ADDG/PP VIR CABADING and Past Director ERNIE GALERA.

GROUP STUDY EXCHANGE
The District Chairman for Group Study Exchange has already approved our candidate Ms. Mary Rose de la Cruz, daughter of PP Flor Dela Cruz. The Host country will be Brazil. 

SUMMER YOUTH EXCHANGE
No final communication regarding the status of our candidate Ives Jesus Nisce II, son of PP Ives Nisce.

POLIO PLUS/ VITAMIN A
Vitamin A Supplementation Project: A joint project with the Dept. of Health. Conducted a whole day training on August 7, 1999 to barangay captains, barangay health workers, school officials, parents and volunteers informing them of the importance of Vit. A by educating the community, especially the mothers, regarding the importance of Vit. A in their children's normal growth. Posters were distributed to the participants.  The following barangays were given with Vit. A : San Agustin, Sevilla, Pagudpud, Catbangen, Canaoay, Sacyud, Tanquigan, Sibuan-Otong, Puspus and Calabugao. 1,221 little children of 6 years and below are initial beneficiaries of a health project designed principally to guarantee normal eyesight.  The launching of Vit. A project in Catbangen Central School on August 18, 1999 was attended by PDG RUBEN HENSON, District Task Force Chairman for Vit. A Project. Another dose is to be given after 6 months.

YOUTH SERVICE

Attended the launching of Stimulation Therapeutic Activity for Special Children on August 5, 1999.  Co-sponsored in the Open Heart and Kidney Transplant Surgery in cooperation by medical volunteers from the Philippine. Heart Center for Asia, National Kidney Institute and Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center and attended by Dept. of Health Under-Secretary Ma. Margarita Galon and Dr.Ludgerio Torres, Director of the Phil. Heart Center for Asia on August 11-13, 1999.  About 1221 children 6 years old & below were administered with Vitamin A during the launching of Vitamin A Supplementation Project at the following Barangays: San Agustin, Sevilla, Pagudpud, Catbangen, Canaoay, Sacyud, Tanquigan, Sibuan-Otong, Puspus and Calabugao. CLUB ATTENDANCE
I, together with my Secretary attended the President -Elect and Secretary Training ( PESET ) in Baguio City last March 27,1999.   Attended District Assembly '99 on May 8-9, 1999 with ten (10) Rotarians at the Holiday Inn Resort, Clarkfield, Pampanga.   Our Club is No. 1 in the district monthly attendance with 100% attendance since July to November, 1999 and Home Club attendance of 73%.

CLASSIFICATION
Update the rooster of filled & unfilled classifications.  Additional classifications:  Automobile Industry- Car Retailing, Bldg. Materials- Hardware Retailing,Construction Service- Project Engineer, Electrical Industry-Electric Light & Power Service, Food Industry- Food Distribution- Junk Food, Food Chain- Franchisee, Mineral Oil Industry- Petroleum Products Retailing, Wholesale/ Retail Distribution- Retail- Gift Items, Accounting- Financial Analyst.

MEMBERSHIP
Started membership of 46, inducted 10 new members and re-admitted 3 former members with one ( l ) resignation bringing a total of 58 as of Dec. 14, 1999.   Seven of our Club Members attended the District Seminar on Membership Development, Retention, Program Enhancement and Protocol Seminar hosted by RC Angeles last August 21,1999 at Clark Field, Angeles City.

PROGRAM
Quarterly event board, Program participation chart, Interchanging seating arrangements, Monthly themes, Inter-City Meeting of all Clubs in La Union on October 12, 1999 with Press Secretary Rodolfo T. Reyes as Guest of Honor and Speaker, Invited weekly guest speakers to talk on areas of their expertise & depending on the theme for each month.

FELLOWSHIP
Fireside meeting was held at the residence of PP Cres and Lina Fernandez on August 8, 1999 to promote acquaintance and fellowship among the members and their spouses.  Implementation of seat covers with name of Rotarians at the back of the chair donated by PP Arsing Ignacio to promote better fellowship among the members.   Golf Fellowship Tournament was held on November 7, 1999 preceding the club's 40th Charter Anniversary.  The tournament aims to promote fellowship and camaraderie to the different clubs of Area I and II and to raise funds for the rehabilitation of the Rotary Service Center.
